Step 1: Initial Meeting
At the initial meeting it is my job is to ask a lot of questions in order to better understand your company, project goals, budget, target audience, competitive positions, and so on. I like to gain a better understanding of your products and services and learn how your customers see you.

After this session, I check out your competition and see where you may have some competitive advantage.

Step 2: Proposal / Estimate
After the information is gathered, I put together a proposal and estimate with my understanding of the project, budget and timelines. The proposal will be clear and concise, detailing a step by step process, to avoid any surprises and unexpected costs. No one likes surprises, especially when they can cost you money you hadn't planned on spending.

During the proposal phase (when necessary) I may pull a project team together such as writers, photographers, printers, media buyers or other key people right for the project. I am very fortunate to have a number of talented people to work with. This assembled team with a broad base of experience will help find the best solution for your objectives.

Step 3: Project Begins
Once all of your questions have been answered and you accept the proposal, I will begin work. I will provide you with a timeline of when you can expect to see concepts, finals, and finished products, etc.

Depending on the complexity of the project, I usually put together 2-4 concepts to discuss with you with my recommendations and reasoning for each. It is important that the solutions I propose "feel right" and are something you believe in.

Once we finalize a direction, I then move forward and the approval process begins.

Step 4: Approval Process
At each step of the process, you or a designated individual will approve different aspects of the project such as copy, content, disclosures, etc. You will sign off on any final layouts or designs before they go into production. Again, no surprises.
